Trip Maintenence

    Hi,

    Just returned from an overseas trip and added a "new" trip.

    Whilst doing this I noticed that a trip for 3 months ago that I added 3 months ago, is not showing in the Trip Maintenence section.

    I can access the bird list for this trip using the view/edit sightings section, but can't work out how to ensure that this trip is shown (and is

    visible/accessible) in Trip Maintenence. 

    Have upgraded to the latest version of 5.0 in the hope that this might help, but it hasn't.

    Can you point me in the right direction, please?

    Hi Steve,

    I would start here...

    1. Pull up sightings from that trip that you can't find.
    2. Make sure that the TRIP column is showing.
    3. Note the name of the trip that shows for those sightings.
    4. Is there a TRIP associated with those sightings? Then go back to Trip Maintenance and look for it based on sorting by date

      Remember, the trip you can't find could be a descendant of another trip as above.
    5. If that doesn't work, sort by Name and see if you can find it, but it may be a descendant again and not showing.

    Hi Jeff,

    Thanks for the reply.

    Yes, I had checked that the trip column was showing - it is (Papua New Guinea 2017).

    I had also checked Trip Maintenance by Date and by Name for Papua New Guinea 2017  and checked that it was not "hidden"

    by being a descendant of another trip.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hi Steve,

    Well - you've got me puzzled. I am going to have to have a look at your database.

    Please...

    1. Exit BD if running.
    2. ZIP/compress your database file - C:\Birder's Diary\data\database.mdb
    3. Upload that file to me using the Support >> File Upload page on this site. I will get notified when uploaded. NOTE: It hasn't finished the upload until it refreshes your screen.
