Do the Quick Life List Count and the Lifer Bars recognize the Life List Disabler on UDFs? Their counts do not agree with a life list report, and I need to find the discrepancy.

Are spuhs counted anywhere? How do you make them not count? I don't remember if I did something before to make a spuh not count. (I just added another one, and that might the be source of the problem.)

    Hi David,

    Thanks for posting.

Yes - they all use the same code and all take life list disabler into account.

So, Quick Count and Lifer Bars agree? But your Life List report does not. Then (ignoring lifer bars) simply compare your settings for the Quick Count report with your settings for the Life List report. Something is different.

SPUHs count if they are 1) classified to the species level (e.g. "abc/xyz") and 2) do NOT have the NOT Countable checkbox checked when you created them.

    Let me know please.

    Jeff

I guess I was wrong about a difference in the Quick Count and total Life List. They are the same now.

I was able to edit a spuh to make it not countable, but that did not change the counts.

One problem in the Quick Count vs Life List report for the same day was because of a taxonomy difference.

So, I fixed that. But there's still a problem:

The Life List now 61, regardless of if it is for North Carolina or ABA Area. But the Quick Count has 63 for ABA Area, and 61 for North Carolina. This is for a particular day. And the day was spent all in North Carolina.

I believe 61 is the correct number.

I found that 2 sightings did not have a location. I fixed that. But that did not solve this problem. I confirmed that all locations in that day fall under North Carolina, including the corrected one.

    Hi David,

This usually works out to be something simple in the difference in setup between your report and your Quick Count.

I can get onto your computer later this afternoon if you like or at some other point that works for you and we can work through this. Or you could upload your database to me using the Support >> File Upload page on this site, and I can review your data on my system and get back to you. Whatever you like.

There are not that may things to set: Observer, Location, Date, Taxonomy. Well, OK. It's working correctly. I think I had my years confused. Settings are the same, but my eyes are off. Thanks for your help.
