Is it possible to enter a sighting for multiple locations at once?
When we go on birding trips we always print out a checklist for the area we will visit (for this example Ecuador) and use that list to keep up with our sightings. We are not interested in keeping precise locations for every observation but we do want some idea of where we saw the bird. In this example we might want to indicate sightings from the east slope, west slope, and the highlands separately. We might code them E, W, & H on the checklist and we have created those locations in the Locations editor under Ecuador.
The only way I know to enter the data is to go through the list three times, entering the data for each location separately. Is there any way to go through the list once and somehow indicate multiple locations for those species seen in more than one of my locations?
The answer is yes.
Fill out the date/time and location and click the Add button. It adds a new column for that location/date. You can add multiple locations.
This gives you just what you are asking for Scott.
