On the daily list for my property I enter all the birds. For example, there are 15 species I enter for today, and the list shows me I recorded 15 species before I close the window.
Then I go to the list for that day and it tells me I saw 14 - not 15 - species and in every case the Dark-eyed Junco is missing.
What is going on?
Thanks for posting.
The answer, as always, is in the detail.
What taxonomic list are you using to enter your sightings, and what taxonomic list are you using to view your sightings? This is probably the difference.
Please examine these two pieces of the equation to see if they are different. You should be using the latest version of your licensed taxonomic lists for both.
If you find that you are using the same tax list, then examine your View Sightings Setup window to see what might be omitting your Junco sightings.
There is a logical reason, we just need to look for it.
Let me know please.
Thanks, Jeff. I just saw your email before I wrote my last email, venting my frustration.
The problem was exactly what you said about using different lists. That never happened to me before.
Anyway, I appreciate your help.
Great Linda. That usually fixes the issue.
Let me know if I can assist with anything else.
