The key will be whether you have a valid copy/backup of your database. Geeks needed to grab a copy of C:\Birder's Diary\data\database.mdb, or you need to have a backup/copy on a separate device.

To fix this problem, 1) disable ALL antivirus software temporarily, and 2) run the Network Installation from the Downloads page on this site. A reboot may be required.
That should fix it. Let us know.
