BROWSER ISSUES - FireFox and Chrome - Sunday, September 22, 2019

Please note the following issues:

  • Any recent version of FireFox does not allow you to Paste images from your copy buffer into the Forums Text Editor.
  • The latest version of Chrome now appears to be working correctly.
  • As of 1-SEP-2019, Uploading Attachments to your posts no longer works.
  • Currently Internet Explorer and Edge browsers seem to work correctly in all aspects.

We will be addressing these issues by migrating the site to newer/different technology in October/November time frame. Thanks for your patience.

Just purchased v 5.1 (also, I'm suspicious that I may have purchased this previously. Have I?) When I attempt to install from 5.0, I get a message partway through install that C:\Birders Diary\data\database.mdb cannot be opened. I checked the file path and the file is in the correct place and backs up correctly. What am I doing wrong?

Hi David.

This indicates that you have Birder's Diary open and running while you are attempting the install. Please close Birder's Diary and restart the install.

And yes. You have previously purchased v5.1.

I can refund this extra purchase when I get back to my office on Friday. Ok?

I will try again today. 

 It wasn't until I was in the final stage of purchase that I thought that it looked awfully familar.
