I just purchased the ABA 2022 tax list and attempted to auto-import. Things seemed to be going well at first.  I opened the program (6.0, Build 17) and immediately the program opened the pop-up window: Import Dowloaded Taxonomic Lists.  Only one list available appeared on the list:  Birds ABA - 2022.  I selected that list and clicked on Auto Import.  Next pop-up window opened:  Import New Taxonomic List and Checklist Data.

Then, after I clicked confirming I wanted to proceed, a new pop-up window opened with this error message:  "This file is not recognized as a Birder's Diary import file for [Taxonomy]!"

The only option is to click "OK" which closed that pop-up window. But then the program was frozen.  I could not close any windows by clicking the X. I could close the program by right-clicking on the icon tray and selecting close program.

I tried this import multiple times with the same result. I also downloaded the taxonomy file once again and tried with that, coming up with the same result.

So I am stuck. Please help.

Hi Gordon,

Sorry for the confusion.

Please upgrade to the latest Build of v6.0 - 25 or greater. Now you can auto-import the tax list.

So many things to read and check. No problem, easy to miss all the details.

Let me know if I can assist further.

Ahhh. Tripped up by the fine print once again.

But that seemed to do the trick.

Thanks Jeff.
