[Solved] Adding to Mobile App checklists
I know you can add any name to a checklist in the app. I do that, but the next time I use the checklist, the name is not there. I have to add it all over again. How do I add a name permanently?
I did not plan to save names to existing Checklists when a name is added during an outing. So there is currently no feature for that.
It does kind of bug me also. But it forces me to update my checklist more frequently. For example, when I go out to bird my local property, I download the checklist for current location again; overwriting existing checklist. I specify a radius of 25 km and seen in last 20 days. This tends to make sure that the species that was NOT on my list last time I needed it is now on my list. Usually occurs mostly in Spring and Fall during migration when the species present change.
This was the use-case I envisioned for checklists. That they are ephemeral and should be refreshed regularly, such that any name added and then saved would be overwritten/lost when the checklist is refreshed anyway.
Let me know how you are using your Checklists.
Yes David. Spuhs are not currently downloaded for the Checklists from eBird. Perhaps I should change that in an upcoming release.
I just added this as a Wish List topic in the Wish List forum David.
