[Solved] Azores Sightings
I was reviewing my Azores sightings. Some are coming up as PORTUGAL and others are coming as AZORES ISLANDS in the All Locations Sighting Summary report. Part of this may be do to some records being entered and downloaded from eBird.
Which is correct? Attached are screen shots of the locations involved.
Some are coming up as PORTUGAL and others are coming as AZORES ISLANDS in the All Locations Sighting Summary report.
Can you please give me a screenshot of a) the report setup, and b) the resulting report?
I need more info to answer this question. Let's start here. We will get to the bottom of it soon.
Thanks for the additional data. We are getting there.
Now, my new question is, what do you feel, exactly, is wrong in this report?
I assume you have Sightings for both Portugal and for the Azores. Are you saying that the counts are off?
Taking this one step at a time.
I understand the confusion now.
The Azores may be a political part of Portugal.
In Birder's Diary, however, Portugal is a child of Europe. While the Azores Islands has the following Parents: Parents: ABA ATLANTIC/ARCTIC OCEAN REGION, ATLANTIC OCEAN, WESTERN PALEARCTIC.
So, in Birder's Diary neither is under the other.
But this is the beauty of one of the strongest features of Birder's Diary. You can modify the virtual connections to all locations using the Location Maintenance window.
You can edit the Azores Islands and add Portugal as an additional parent if you want this report to include its counts under Portugal.
Closing this for now. But let me know if I can assist further.
My pleasure Mike.
Take care. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
