Hello Jeff,
I had a chance to review the new ABA, AOS and Clements tax and checklists and found a few anomalies. You did fine this year only a few things to harp about. I listed them in the attachment. Feel free to contact me if you need clarification.
Regards Al
Thanks Al. Much appreciate the thorough review.
Yellow-nosed Albatross
Added the obvious Atlantic Ocean locations, eastern US states from the older location list. The ABA and AOS Checklist Reports in BD now report the expected numbers.
Western/Siberian House-Martin
The official checklist has this slash on it. Decided to go with both species and keep the slash also. As always, individual users can modify this list anyway they see fit.
Atlantic Yellow-nosed Albatross
This is updated as the Albatross above. Same Thing internally in BD.
Hello Jeff,
Are you going to release the updated checklist locations or are we expected to do it ourselves?
Regards, Al
Hi Al,
I am going to release an update. But thought I would wait to see if others had any issues first. If not by tomorrow, then I will get the updates out and post back here.
Thanks again.
Hello Jeff,
It works for me. I always feel more comfortable when you make the changes.
Regards, Al
Hi Al,
After running new verification code, several Extinct things were still included with location data in the new taxonomy import files. These have been corrected.
So, the new numbers will be
ABA: 1108 + 28 Extinct = 1136
AOS: 2149 + 37 Extinct = 2186. (San Andrew Vireo was missing from the AOU Locations tree)
Uploaded new files are now available for ABA, AOS, IOC and Clements 2023.
Hello Jeff,
I reviewed the updated tax and checklists and everything looks good.
FYI: I didn't have the San Andres Vireo missing in the BD 2023 checklists that I downloaded and printed on 17 Nov so I didn't report it in my anomalies.
Good job, Al
