Today I imported 3 lists from eBird, then did a sightings sort by date to see that I had found a total of 55 unique species from the 3 places we'd visited. My question is, is there someway I can edit these 55 to assign them to the same trip, so that in the future I can pull up that trip list?

Thanks for posting.

Of course.

Create the Trip that you want to assign the sightings to first.

As you have already done, pull up those sightings using View Sightings Setup (F2). Once you click Continue and you are on the View & Edit Sightings window, select those sightings using standard Windows multi-select functionality for tables and click on the "Pencil" button in this window's toolbar.

This will bring up the Edit Sightings window in Mass Edit mode. Any changes you make will be made to all selected sightings.

  1. Check the checkbox to the left of the Trip dropdown,
  2. Select the Trip you created above in the dropdown,
  3. Click the update button.

That is it!
