Today when I opened my Birders Diary I received the following message:
Error communicating with BirdersDiary.com in order to retrieve news and information
12007: Name not resolved

This is a temporary hiccup on the internet. I assume it works fine now and you don't get this error on startup. Let me know if that is not the case.
