I periodically run a Checklist report, to show what species are at a location, and which of those I have seen already.
I just ran another one, and the species were in alphabetical order, not taxonomic! Is there a setting I have set unintentionally? I don't see anything pertinent on the Reporting screen. (I am still running v6.3.)
Thanks!
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for posting.
Sorting is specified in the Output Columns pane.
You probably just need to Check the checkbox for Use Taxonomic Order as the Primary Sort Order, to force everything into taxonomic order - in spite of the Sort column on each field.
That should reset it for you. Watch the How-to Video (button on the main reporting window) for lots of tips on how to format your reports.
Take care and let me know if I can assist further with anything.
That worked, of course. (The rhetorical question is, how the hell did I change that setting?)
Thanks!
That remains one of computing’s great unsolved mysteries, Stephen. Glad we persuaded it to behave again!
