I just upgraded to build 25.

Then:
Double click on an outing in the outing list.
Hit Continue in the View Sightings Setup box.
Hit Select all button in View and Edit Sightings. (Or just select one row.)
Hit eBird button.

I get Run-time error 94.
Invalid use of null.

This happens consistently.

It worked before the upgrade.

Hi David,

Thanks for the details. Obviously due to the recent change to support start time and duration. I have overlooked something that my test data did not reveal.

Please try this for me. Edit the Trip associated with the sighting(s) in question. And set the Distance Traveled to zero "0" if not set. Save your changes to the trip.

Now try the same procedure above that is giving the RTE 94.

Let us know please.

Update: I was able to reproduce on older Outings wherein the Distance Traveled was not present (pre Build 25).

If you edit the Trip, by default, the distance traveled field will display "0.0".

Manually set that to "0" (zero) and save your changes.

Your eBird export will now work.

This will be fixed in the next release.

I tried what you said. I do not get the run-time error now.

But Start Time is 12:00 AM (should show the start time of the trip)

Duration is 0 (should show a time in minutes)

Distance is 0 (expected)  BTW, before now, this box has been blank for me. Not a problem, because I always have to correct it anyway.

We were not exporting start time (in a discreet means) when you imported these sightings.

It should have used first sighting time as start time, and last sighting time minus first starting time as duration. So, not sure why you are getting that.

Is it possible for you to ZIP and upload your database to me so I can test this on my system. Use the Support >> File Upload page on this site to upload your db. Also, send me instructions for picking the correct outing that produces these results. I will get notified when you upload your file.

Also, try this now with a new outing produced by BD Mobile v1.45 and see if it doesn't look good for the new trip.

Perhaps the database is not needed now. Using 1.45 this morning, Start Time, Duration and Distance all agree with the values given in the trip.

Good work.

Great David! Thanks for the update.

Please let me know if you see anything fishy going forward. I will be able to get any fixes into the upcoming v6.0 release.

Take care.
