[Solved] Ugraded to 5.3, but it is still running 5.2
I paid for and upgraded to version 5.3 last night. It took a long time to download but finally finished, I thought. Today, when I opened the program, it did the usual updating databases. But the splash screen says I am running 5.2 (Build 61). And About says 5.2.61. And yet, when I do Check for program update in Help, it says I am running the latest version of 5.3. Appearance of the program does look like it is not 5.3.
Thanks for posting and your purchase.
It appears that you are still running v5.2. Perhaps you have dragged the v5.2 icon down to your task bar and start BD from there.
Please look for the new v5.3 BLUE Desktop Icon and use that to run v5.3. And you can remove any v5.2 desktop/taskbar icons also.
Let us know please.
You are right about me clicking the 5.2 icon. I have wondered if I needed to uninstall 5.2, but assumed not. Now I have clicked on the 5.3 icon. It then says I have to activate my license. I clicked the Activate License button. And then it says the way to activate is to exit BD and then right-click the icon and choose run as administrator. So, I did that. But that puts me back at the 30 Days Left in Your Demo Mode screen. When I clicked Activate License AGAIN, then I had to enter my license information. I did so, and all seems well now. Wow, it seems pretty complicated.
A further question. Should I physically uninstall version 5.2?
