I am trying to download the new version of ABA 2022 on my laptop. I had no trouble downloading it on my PC. When I try to download it on my laptop, it just opens BD and does not download the updated tax list..

Hi Mike,
Thanks for posting.
When you click on the link on the Taxonomic Downloads page for ABA 2022, it will download the file Birds-ABA-2022.exe. This is the installer.
Now you have to run this file. It will unpack the various files and prepare BD to recognize that you have a new tax list to import.
Exit BD and restart it and you should be notified that you have a new taxonomy to import.
But, when using the latest version of Chrome it has trouble running this file. A bug in Chrome.
Instead, open Windows File Explorer and navigate to your Downloads directory (this is where browsers download files by default). Now run Birds-ABA-2022.exe by double-clicking it.
